O&G Industries along with Joint Venture partner Barletta Heavy Division is responsible for the complete design, construction, and quality control of the project.

This project is the design and construction/replacement of the Route 79/Interstate 195 (I-195) Interchange in Fall River and Phase II structural repairs and painting of the Braga Bridge in Fall River and Somerset and includes the removal of the entire two-level Route 79 viaduct and nine associated highway ramps allowing a new at-grade roadway to be constructed that will combine Route 79/138 with Davol Street.  The project also includes the demolition of 13 bridges. Rehabilitation /repair of two historic stone arch bridges. Seven new bridges will be constructed, which will include 14,200 cubic yards of concrete and 3,000 tons of structural steel.  Portions of the new structures will be constructed using Accelerated Bridge Techniques such as precast columns and pier caps.

Road reconstruction includes 79,000 cubic yards of earth excavation, and 48,000 tons of asphalt and will require new storm drain, water main, sanitary and utility ducts totaling 36,600 LF. as well as three new signalized intersections and 82,500 SF of permanent retaining walls.

The project was a Joint Venture with Barletta’s Heavy Civil division.
