Quinnipiac University – TD Bank Sports Center Sitework

O&G was hired to prepare a 40-acre site for Quinnipiac University’s new athletic facility that had an extremely aggressive schedule.

The project involved excavation and placement of 500,000 CY of earth and rock, processing and onsite reuse of over 100,000 tons of rock for gravel backfill and building pad construction, construction of 3,650 LF of main access roadway, and 1,800 LF of secondary site roadway and installation of over nine miles of site utilities.

In addition, six acres of new parking lots and three acres of detention basin were constructed, and 3,500 CY of cast-in-place concrete were poured along with the installation of over 450,000 pounds of reinforcing steel for footings, walls, and beams.

Not only was O&G able to meet the University’s demanding schedule, but the project was completed more than two months early.
