PROJECT Details

The Glastonbury Riverfront Park project includes a public boat launch, crew launch, canoe/kayak launch, a dock for the Fire Department’s rescue boat, a picnic pavilion, a children’s playground, a lighted basketball court, an outdoor ice skating area, and a boathouse. In addition, multi-use trails and walkways were created as well as a new access drive and parking area, along with landscaping, plantings, and signage.

The Boathouse includes equipment storage space for 67 shells, an exercise room, and a meeting space, as well as public restrooms on the lower level. The upper-level houses the banquet facility, accessed by stairs or elevator, including a kitchen and dining area and an outside deck with a beautiful, expansive view of the River.

As construction manager, O&G worked with the Town and CT DEEP and the Army Corps of Engineers for all required permits, inspections, and reports.
