O&G and joint venture partner, Tutor Perini Corporation, have been contracted by AMTRAK to construct the replacement Connecticut River Bridge (CRB). The 1.3 billion-dollar project is expected to be completed in July 2030. The CRB project, which replaces the existing 116-year-old bridge, will involve building a two-track, electrified, and resilient movable bridge structure equipped with new track, signal, catenary, power, communication, controls, and security features. The new bridge structure will be built approximately 50 feet to the south of the existing structure to allow for continued service throughout construction, with tie-ins back to the existing tracks approximately 1,000 to 1,500 feet off the bridge structure on each end.
