The Topping Off Ceremony held at Rocky Hill High School on Wednesday marks a major milestone in the schools transformation. The 22,000 square foot addition will house new locker and fitness rooms, as well as a music and multipurpose room extending off the west side of the existing building.
The Topping Off Ceremony is a long-standing tradition for building construction projects that highlights erection of the last piece of structural steel. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Henry Vasel, Board of Education Chair Frank Morse, local officials, members of the High School faculty, administrative staff and student body. In his speech, Frank Morse thanked the construction personnel for keeping the project on schedule.
The addition will open to students and faculty during the fall 2015 semester.
