The University of Connecticut recently honored outstanding contributions to student career readiness at its Career Everywhere Recognition and Celebration on May 7, 2025—and we’re excited to share that both Beth Dupont, HR & EEO Officer, and O&G Industries were recognized for their efforts.
Beth was named a Distinguished Career Champion for her role on UConn’s Career Champion Advisory Board, where she brings an important employer perspective to conversations about student success and professional development. Her insights have helped shape meaningful initiatives that benefit both students and the university community.
Steve Kligerman, Assistant Director at UConn’s Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills, noted, “It has been wonderful having someone who has been able to provide the employer perspective within our discussions… it’s something that helps us a great deal and is appreciated by the faculty and staff.”
In addition, Beth and O&G Industries were nominated for the Employer/Alumni Career Advocate of the Year award. This award recognizes employers and alumni who go above and beyond to support UConn students through internships, mentoring, and other hands-on opportunities that build real-world experience.
We’re proud of this recognition and grateful for the ongoing partnership that helps prepare students for successful careers.
