Workforce Development: O&G Industries’ Beth Dupont Champions AEC At Statewide Convening

On June 3rd, O&G’s own Beth Dupont, EEO & HR Officer, took center stage at the AEC Statewide Convening, delivering a powerful presentation that spotlighted the importance of uniting the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors under a shared statewide vision for workforce development.

In a special address to leaders from workforce boards, state agencies, and industry, Beth shared an inspiring call to action: for AEC to be recognized at the same level as other key sectors like IT, healthcare, and manufacturing in statewide planning and promotion.

Beth emphasized the urgency of giving AEC a stronger voice and presence in state-level initiatives, asking employers to become “architects of the solution” by aligning with workforce partners, raising awareness, and investing in the future talent pipeline.

“The AEC ecosystem deserves equal footing to tell its story, champion its contributions, and tap into the evolving infrastructure supporting workforce development,” Beth said. “Let’s move from conversation to coordination—and spotlight the extraordinary opportunities within our industry.”

Beth’s leadership at the Convening reflects O&G’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Connecticut’s future workforce and positioning AEC as a central driver of the state’s economic growth.
