Winsted, CT – O&G Industries, a leading construction management firm in the northeast, is proud to announce its latest project award: the transformation of the 66,000-square-foot Winsted Health Center into the Northwest Connecticut Housing and Innovation Center—a visionary, community-driven hub designed to support veterans and local residents with integrated resources to live, learn, and work under one roof.
This $30 million redevelopment project marks a significant milestone in the region’s commitment to workforce development, affordable housing, and community innovation. As Construction Manager at Risk, O&G will lead the buildout of a multifunctional campus that will include:
- A state-of-the-art manufacturing, training, and education facility
- An industry-aligned makerspace with wood and metal shops
- Co-working and meeting spaces
- A commercial kitchen to support culinary training and small business growth
- A rooftop green space to promote sustainability and wellness
- Conversion of approximately 40,000 SF into 40 units of affordable housing
