O&G Industries Honored with Top Safety and Community Service Awards from CCIA

O&G Industries is proud to announce that it has received two major honors from the Connecticut Construction Industries Association (CCIA): the 2025 Platinum Level Safety Award and the 2025 Community Service Award. These recognitions reflect the company’s longstanding commitment to safety excellence, innovation, and meaningful community involvement across Connecticut.

Recognized for Leadership in Construction Safety

O&G earned both the CCIA Safety Recognition Award and the prestigious Platinum Level Safety Award, which is presented to member companies that meet or exceed national safety performance benchmarks. These awards highlight O&G’s comprehensive approach to safety – one strengthened by technology enhancements, ongoing workforce engagement, hands-on leadership involvement, and collaboration with industry partners and academic institutions.

Key efforts contributing to this achievement include:

  • Enhanced safety planning and support through multiple CONN-OSHA consultation visits
  • Implementation of Samsara fleet telematics for improved driver coaching and vehicle inspections
  • Introduction of virtual reality safety training through a partnership with CCSU
  • Increased employee involvement in near-miss reporting and collaborative inspections
  • Behavioral-based safety evaluation in partnership with UConn PhD students

These initiatives demonstrate O&G’s continued investment in building a proactive safety culture that prioritizes the well-being of its teams, partners, and communities.

Community Service Award Highlights O&G’s Impact Beyond the Jobsite

In addition to its safety accomplishments, O&G received the 2025 CCIA Community Service Award for its charitable support of the New Milford Playground Replacement at Carlson’s Grove (pictured below). The project addressed an urgent community need, replacing aging, outdated equipment with a modern, inclusive, and accessible playground designed to serve families for generations.

Through its charitable giving program, O&G provided leadership and resources to help revitalize the space, ensuring that children of all abilities have a safe and engaging place to play. CCIA praised the company’s efforts for surpassing award criteria and demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Connecticut residents.

A Reflection of O&G’s Core Values

“These awards represent the hard work and dedication of our employees, partners, and community collaborators,” said Brad Oneglia, Vice President, who accepted the Community Service Award for the company. “Safety and service are fundamental to who we are, and we’re honored to be recognized for those commitments.”

O&G was recognized during CCIA’s Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony in Plantsville, Connecticut, on December 3rd, 2025.
