Promoted! Tony Blanchard, 37 YEAR O&G VETERAN PROMOTED TO VP

Congratulations to Tony Blanchard for his recent promotion to Vice President of Plant Equipment. Tony’s journey with O&G began 37 years ago as a mechanic at Southbury Repair, starting with simple brake jobs and eventually moving up to working on heavy equipment. After proving his skills and dedication, he was promoted to road mechanic, where he traveled to job sites to repair equipment on-site. He then took on the role of Shop Foreman at the Southbury location, overseeing all heavy equipment. For the past eight years, Tony has held the position of Plant Maintenance Manager, responsible for all maintenance at O&G plants. He took on this role after the retirement of Tony Damiano and has since overseen energy improvement programs and upgrades at the plants.   Throughout his time at O&G, Tony has formed strong relationships with T.J. and Brad Oneglia, V.P.’s in the Construction Materials Division, through effective communication and innovation.  His dedication to the company, along with his respect for the men and women he works alongside with, has proven to be a model for success.

Despite not expecting it, Tony is grateful for his promotion, which he credits to his dedication to O&G and the sturdy bonds he has made with his colleagues and the Oneglias over the years. Tony is proud of his team and sees great potential in the young employees at O&G, whom he knows he can rely on to get the job done. Tony believes that under his leadership, O&G can maintain excellent plant operations, ensure high production, and avert any breakdowns, while also prioritizing sustainability efforts.
