Rick’s tenure at O&G spanned an impressive 26 years. Throughout his career as an estimator in the Building Group, he took on increasing responsibilities. He worked on a diverse range of projects, including various schools, the Waterbury bus maintenance facility, DOT projects, and more. “It was gratifying to win a bid, knowing our hard work paid off and benefited the company,” he said.
Rick enjoyed working at O&G thanks to its supportive family culture. He considered himself fortunate to have amazing colleagues who made work enjoyable every day. Rick also found joy in decorating for the annual office-wide Christmas Decorating Contest and playing guitar at noon with “the band.”
Though he may have strummed his final chords with his O&G bandmates, retirement promises more time for music and travel! Rick plans to explore new horizons during retirement, including a road trip to Colorado with his wife. This New Year’s, they will fulfill a longtime dream by attending the Rose Bowl Parade! He also looks forward to frequent golfing sessions and volunteering at the local Nature Center while pursuing other ways to give back to his community.
“I cannot thank O&G enough for everything they have done for my family and me. Working here has been a privilege,” Rick shared.
