Tell us about your experience at O&G so far. What are you currently working on?
I’ve been having an amazing experience at O&G so far! Everyone on the IT team has been super nice and welcoming. I’m always looking forward to coming to work to see everyone’s friendly faces. Since starting three weeks ago, I’ve done a few projects, but I’m currently working on a web application.
What inspired you to consider an internship with O&G?
Quite a few things inspired me to consider an internship with O&G. I was impressed by the scale and importance of the company, and a vital backbone of that is ensuring that systems work properly. I’ve always been interested in learning about how systems work and maintaining them, and this internship is giving me that opportunity. My most motivating factor, however, was my father, Ilir Alibali; he’s a mixer driver, and he’s always sacrificed the most for us and his family, so working with him in this family owned company is an amazing experience.
Are you considering a future career in the construction industry? If so, why? What inspired you?
I am very interested in a future career within the construction industry but geared towards IT. I would love to continue working with O&G. As I’ve mentioned, everyone has been great so far, and the environment is friendly and motivating. If anything has inspired me to consider a future career here, it would be working with such a fun, lighthearted team.
What are your plans after graduation?
I am interested in continuing my studies and getting my master’s in cybersecurity at Fairfield University.
Would you like to share something about yourself? A hobby, bucket list item, fun fact?
I have two cats. They are my babies, and I love them more than I love the rain and traveling!
