How long have you been in the construction industry? How many of those years at O&G?
I have been in the industry for 20 years – all at O&G. I worked as a plant mechanic for our concrete and asphalt plants and quarries before becoming the Supervisor at the New Milford Quarry. In 2017 I was asked to join the safety team to assist with MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) and plant issues. It was a new challenge that I really enjoyed taking on.
How did you get started in the construction industry?
I have always had a passion for construction – it’s in my blood. My grandfather, Tony Damiano, worked at O&G his entire career. He occasionally would bring me to work with him starting when I was just eight years old. I started my career with O&G right out of high school.
