INTERN SPOTLIGHT: Stephen Law, Project Management Intern

Stephen is a construction management major studying at Central Connecticut State University. As a child, he was always intrigued by the world of construction and the ability to solve problems while simultaneously working to give something valuable back to a community.

This is Stephen’s second internship at O&G, following his time as a building group intern at New Fairfield High School last summer and Torrington High School last winter. He has continued expanding his knowledge from these internships and applying them in his current position at the Farmington High School Project. Here, he has been participating in submittal reviews, RFI creation and distribution, subcontractor outreach, and attending project meetings. Stephen has discovered interest in seeing all the trades working together. Such as steel erection/detailing, framing interior/exterior walls, and utility and site work. He admires that the construction industry offers numerous learning opportunities, with each member of the project team contributing something different to its overall goals.

Stephen hopes to continue expanding his knowledge within the industry through gaining more experience, to then narrow down the role he wants to pursue within construction. In his free time Stephen enjoys being outdoors working on his own small lawn care business.
