Maribeth is a construction management major at Central Connecticut State University. After attending a vocational trade school and enjoying her time in the construction technology shop, she decided she wanted to go to school for construction management rather than going straight into the construction field as a carpenter.
This is Maribeth’s second internship, the first being an assistant project manager for a commercial mechanical company in MA. Here at O&G she is interning as a project engineer in the building division, assigned to Spaziano Elementary School in Providence. Maribeth has found it interesting how fast the project is moving in comparison to other elementary school buildings. One of her favorite aspects of her internship is working with people who are very driven, as well as being within a company that is well connected and family oriented.
Maribeth’s career goal is to become a Superintendent. After graduating she hopes to have a full-time position starting as a project engineer and work her way up. A fun fact about Maribeth is that the show “Fixer Upper” is what convinced her to go into construction!
