UConn’s new Waterbury downtown campus is a 4-story, 3-wing state-of-the-art educational complex designed to blend with the existing historic architecture of Waterbury's Main Street. The campus was designed to serve more than 1,200 students, faculty and staff.

The completed facility includes a main lobby with a 24-foot wide entry corridor, an illuminated clock tower, a University bookstore and a large courtyard with gathering spaces throughout. The building also includes office suites for the Directors and Bursar, 38 faculty offices, a fitness center, locker and shower facilities, and a multi-purpose room with 3 operable room dividers designed to accommodate 220 people. Academic space includes 10 classrooms, 4 seminar rooms, 4 small group rooms, 4 computer labs, a 100-seat lecture hall, a 70-seat case room, a research lab, a 3-story library, and a chemistry lab, biology lab and physics lab, each with 24 student stations.
