Frequently Asked Questions

The Hiring Process

What is O&G’s hiring process?
O&G’s process begins with a review of resumes and qualifications before the selection of who will be invited for a first round interview. This will allow us to get to know you, understand your goals and aspirations, and evaluate your background. You’ll get a chance to get to know about us, as well.

Following the first round interview, candidates may be invited to a second round of interviews. Hiring decisions are typically made within two weeks of this second interview and we will stay in close contact with you throughout the process.

What can I expect in my interviews?
The first round interview can be a one-on-one interview or consist of a panel. The information we have gathered through your resume, application and work experience helps us evaluate what contributions you personally would be able to make to our company. The second round interview is an opportunity for you to learn more about our company, our culture and the services we provide. You may even visit a jobsite, or two.

How can I make a good impression throughout the interview process?
Be prepared. Understand who O&G is, our industry and what makes us excel.

Be professional. This is a job interview and first impressions count. Be on time and dress appropriately.

Ask questions. Compile research before your interview so you can ask thoughtful questions as they relate to our company and current industry issues.

How can I apply for a job?
Applicants can submit their resumes by submitting an application online, mailing a copy to O&G Industries, attention HR, 112 Wall St, Torrington, CT 06790, or stop in at any of our locations to pick up a hard copy application.
